Avillion has sponsored and managed trials in over 25 countries across North America, Europe and Asia and also has R&D staff located in all three of these continents. A regional project team is assigned to each trial or programme of trials; the team includes regional project managers located in close proximity to the greatest number of participating trial sites, and regionally located medical doctors (MDs) who provide targeted support across all time zones to Investigator sites, the CRO and, ultimately, trial subjects.
The regional team’s engagement starts by assisting the CRO in site selection and continues through SIV attendance to site progress meetings (to ensure optimal recruitment) and co-monitoring visits to support protocol compliance and quality. Regional Avillion staff act as ‘liaison managers’ within their regions to optimize Investigator relationships, provide site support and manage local CRO performance.
